DCurrency

What it is

DCurrency is a small SwiftUI iOS app I built to convert between 170+ currencies. Tap any row to enter an amount on a clean number-only keypad — every other row updates live. Rates refresh hourly in the background and are stored on-device, so the app keeps working when you’re abroad with no signal.

How it works

Rates come from a tiny Cloudflare Worker I operate at currency-exchange-rates.davidstepanov.com. The Worker fetches Open Exchange Rates once an hour and serves a cached, ETagged JSON response — the app itself never talks to Open Exchange Rates directly. No analytics, no identifiers, no logs.
